300 pizzas from Pizzaguy

On Ikano’s initiative, Guy Reding, owner of the “Pizzaguy” food truck (one of the first food trucks in Luxembourg and the first truck to serve pizzas Made In Luxembourg) decided to deliver 300 pizzas to socially disadvantaged people. Since 16 March, they have had to have lunch outside the Stëmm vun der Stross’ social restaurant at 7, rue de la Fonderie in Hollerich.
As Steve P. said, this initiative calls for us to take our hats off to such generous people as Guy Reding and Ikano. For Louise Nielsen, representative of the Ikano group, this campaign was a logical step in two respects: on the one hand, it supports small businesses and on the other, an association committed to the fight against poverty. Alexandra Oxacelay, director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, added: “This help is coming at the right time, because our reintegration workshops have only been open since the start of the week. With the Covid-19 crisis, we were forced to reduce our activities and only a third of the staff currently works in the kitchen. So having someone who gives us ready-to-go and homemade dishes as well is not only a precious support, but it is also a great recognition for our daily work.”
