Inauguration of a greenhouse and a hangar by the Stëmm vun der Strooss and the Œuvre nationale de secours Grande Duchesse Charlotte
After many weeks of planning and preparation, the red carpet has been rolled out in front of the new hangar at the post-therapy center at the Château de Schoenfels on Friday 13th of October. The 50 invitations to politicians and those active in the social and cultural world including the Minister of Health, Lydia Mutsch, the Mayor of Mersch, Michel Malherbe, the new Director of the Œuvre nationale de secours Grande Duchesse Charlotte, Gilles Rod and Jean Feith, administrator of the Œuvre were present.
« With the financial support of the Œuvre nationale de secours Grand Duchesse Charlotte, the 37 disadvantaged people who benefit from a professional reinsertion to work, will be able to cultivate and plant the vegetables all year long » said Daniel Schneider, who is responsable of the post-therapy center. For the President of the Stëmm vun der Strooss, Marcel Detaille, this investment will garantee fresh vegetables all year long and not seasonaly for the social restaurants in Hollerich and Esch-sur-Alzette.
