Press release: Collection of non-perishable food and hygiene items for Ukrainian refugees
In order to help the Ukrainian population, the Stëmm vun der Strooss has joined forces for several months with two associations that house Ukrainian refugees or help private individuals to house Ukrainians. As a result, 1.4 tonnes of food, school supplies and toys have already been distributed to 35 Ukrainian families. The two partner organisations look after these families in shelters in Leudelange and also support households that have taken in refugees.
These donations, realised by Stëmm, were collected thanks to the support of our partners. Wanting to help those in need immediately and efficiently, the Stëmm has decided to take over the logistics and distribution of the donations. Thanks to the energy of the two partner organisations, the donations are thus distributed directly to the refugees.
As Stëmm wants to meet the current needs immediately, the association calls on all interested individuals and all their partner companies and donors to join them in collective solidarity with the Ukrainian population. Any collection of non-perishable food or hygiene items is welcome to supplement the Stëmm’s purchases.
Below is a list of products currently needed by the Ukrainian refugees and their host families:
– Non-perishable food items (tea, coffee, canned food, biscuits, flour, sugar, oil, drinks, …).
– Hygiene articles (shower gel, toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, cotton buds, deodorants, soap, cotton wool, shampoo, …).
If you would like to support us with such a collection, please contact the Stëmm vun der Strooss:
