Press release POST donates a van to the Stëmm

For the third consecutive year, POST Luxembourg supports the Stëmm vun der Strooss. This time, the Immo-Stëmm department was honoured for its work by the donation of a former service van, in excellent conditions and with only 60,000 km on the clock. The van will be used to move the 31 people accommodated in the various rooms in the south and centre of the country.

The handover of the keys took place on Thursday 15 September 2022 in the presence of Isabelle Faber, Director Human Resources, Public Relations & CSR of POST Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Schroeder, Head of Department Technical Support and Mobility of POST Luxembourg, Alexandra Oxacelay, Director Stëmm vun der Strooss and the Head of Immo-Stëmm, Benoit Klensch, accompanied by two members of his staff, Martial and Malek.

Benoît Klensch presented the activities of Immo-Stëmm, which was founded in 2005: “This service aims to make the real estate market accessible to people with low incomes by guaranteeing owners payment of the rent and proper maintenance of the flat. The Immo-Stëmm service serves as an intermediary between owners and tenants. In 2021, 31 people were accommodated in 26 flats or studios.”

In January 2022, POST Luxembourg had already made a social commitment by offering its employees the opportunity to donate their end-of-year gift vouchers in favour of Stëmm. This generous gesture, also for the third time, enables the non-profit organisation to organise theme days throughout the year, which are always very much appreciated by the beneficiaries.

Alexandra Oxacelay, director of Stëmm, thanked the representatives of POST for their renewed support: “With your help, you have expressed your trust in us, and we will do everything we can to live up to that trust. I hope that other companies will do the same, because poverty is increasing and in order to act we need resources.”
