Press release: The Early Childhood Centre (CPE) gives the Stëmm vun der Strooss hygiene products for Easter
On Monday 04 March, the representatives of the Early Childhood Centre (CPE), Audrey Fromont, Ismael Bomblez and Mateja Rus Bassit, visited the headquarters of the Stëmm vun der Strooss at 7 rue de la Fonderie in Hollerich to distribute boxes of hygiene products directly to the beneficiaries of the Stëmm.
The CPE is the European Commission’s study and leisure centre, located on the Kirchberg and designed to enable European officials and other servants who are far from their place of origin to find a place to look after their children without too much difficulty once they arrive in Luxembourg. To make the pupils aware of the precarious situation that exists in the Grand Duchy, the CPE educators approached the Stëmm to find out about the various collection opportunities that the association is always in dire need of. After a convivial meeting with one of the Stëmm representatives at the CPE premises, a collection of hygiene items was organised over several weeks from the CPE students and their parents.
And the result speaks for itself, as no less than 95 boxes were donated to Stëmm. It is particularly noteworthy that it was very important for the CPE representatives to come to the disadvantaged people to present them with the boxes lovingly decorated by their students, so that they could witness the visible joy on the faces of the people who were really happy to receive such a nice gift.
