The pupils of the LTPS from Strassen are committed to the Stëmm vun der Strooss

Thanks to the “Sans-abris” project initiated by the teachers Karin Ney, Claudine Seiler, Charlène Branco and the school management of the Lycée Technique pour Professions de Santé in Strassen, a generous donation of 1,200 euros was handed over to the Stëmm vun der Strooss. Two classes of the “Deuxième” of the LTPS organised a raffle to raise funds and called for donations of shoes and backpacks for the Stëmm.

This project started in French class in mid-March this year, when the topic of homelessness and life on the street was discussed through a novel. Together with their French teacher, Charlène Branco, the classes came up with the idea of setting up a project to support homeless people in Luxembourg. This is how the cooperation between the two classes and the school administration began.

This fundraiser would not have been possible without the exemplary commitment of the students Bonnie Richards, Céline Greth and Catia Martins Amorimn who, together with their classmates, invested a lot of energy in this project. But the students’ charity did not stop there, as they even distributed masks, hydro-alcohol gel and croissants to the homeless on the streets of Luxembourg City and the Gare district to show their support in this time of health crisis.

The Stëmm vun der Strooss  congratulates the LTPS teachers and especially the students for this solidarity and is proud that young people care so much about the welfare of the people in need.
