Better working conditions thanks to the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte

In the middle of the Covid-19 crisis, the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte provided its help to the Stëmm vun der Strooss. Thanks to a generous donation of 11 540 €, the Schweesdrëps was able to buy 20 new wheeled caddies, allowing people benefiting from a professional reintegration measure to work more efficiently.

Marc Balthasar, manager of the professional reintegration workshop where 4,000 sports club uniforms are washed every week, highlights: “Our working conditions have improved significantly. We can almost completely prevent people in professional reintegration from carrying heavy loads, which results in fewer absences due to illness. The shelf carriages and 10 other foldable carts help us to optimise our workflow system and we will continue to use them when moving to our new facilities in Sanem.”

“It is not the first time that the Oeuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte supports the Stëmm vun der Strooss. Already in 2015, it financed the construction of a barn for the post-therapy centre in Schoenfels. Moreover, the establishment recently donated a professional mixer to the kitchen team in Hollerich,” added Alexandra Oxacelay, the director of the association.
