“Come à la Maison” offered a lunch to 160 people in need

After the restaurant “Brasserie Alpha” located in Luxembourg, the restaurants “Oggi e “Domani” in Alzingen, “Le Chalet” in Remerschen or “Le Kessel” during the Schueberfouer event, it is now the restaurant “Come à la Maison”, located at 70, route d’Esch in Luxembourg/Hollerich, which invited the beneficiaries of the “Stëmm vun der Strooss” a.s.b.l. for the second consecutive year.

The event happened on the Monday 25th of September 2017. 160 meals were served on this occasion.

After the opening of the doors at noon with a welcoming speech, the guests were able to fully enjoy a good quality meal and service while sharing together this friendly lunch.

On the menu, as a starter, a Chaplain stuffed with fish, served with courgettes and a leek sauce. As a second entrée, a “Paccheri alla Norma”. The main dish was a Poultry Supreme served with a creamy mushroom sauce, potatoes and green beans. The guests were able to finish this delicious meal with an Italian Tiramisu.
Alexandra Oxacelay, Managing Director of “Stëmm vun der Strooss” a.s.b.l., recalls that unfortunately poverty and social exclusion is continuing to increase.
