€862 collected for Stëmm vun der Strooss

€862 is the sum that Daniel Marcus collected during the half marathon (21,097 km) as part of the ING Night Marathon on 22 May 2017. The presentation of the donation took place at Stëmm’s social canteen in Hollerich, where a total of 47,078 meals have been served since the beginning of the year.

Because Daniel Marcus wanted to link sport to a charity, he had the idea to use the social network Facebook to encourage and invite his family and friends to make a donation to Stëmm von der Strooss, which works to improve the lives of the homeless and the poor.

Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm, emphasized: “This initiative proves that every small step counts and can be a great help to people living in difficult conditions.” Like Daniel Marcus, she wants this gesture of solidarity to inspire others to follow the example.
