Easter before time for Stëmm vun der Strooss

Aware of the current situation of the most vulnerable people, the Austrian ambassador, Melitta Schubert, decided for Easter to offer 300 pieces of brownies and butter cakes to the canteen of Stëmm vun der Strooss in Hollerich.

Since 16 March, at 7 rue de la Fonderie in the station district, social workers have completely changed their activities and along with two cooks, they alternately prepare and distribute 300 hot meals free of charge. Before confinement, this activity was mainly carried out by people benefiting from a professional reintegration programme. This gesture of solidarity from the ambassador was greatly appreciated and warmed the hearts of both the homeless and the educators and social workers.
