FC US Hueschtert, d’Liewen ass kee Kichelchen and Miele offer a dryer to the Schweessdreps

On the initiative of the football club FC US Hueschtert, in collaboration with the association d’Liewen ass kee Kichelchen and the German manufacturer of household and industrial equipment Miele, they decided to do a charity donation. The association d’Liewen ass kee Kichelchen was founded in April 2012, and their main objective is to make donations to help disadvantaged people. Thus, they offered a very helpful material donation for the non-profit organization Stëmm vun the Strooss, because their professional reintegration workshop “Schweesdrëps” is washing the football uniforms of FC US Hueschtert since a few years.
In the Schweesdrëps in Esch-Alzette the sports uniforms are not only washed, but also, thanks to a group of about 30 persons, sorted and redistributed to the corresponding clubs. If necessary, sewing is also done in this workshop. Thus, 4000 uniforms from about 40 different sports clubs are cleaned and sorted during one week.
Of course, this work also requires the right material, and at the request of the donators, which equipment is urgently needed by the Stëmm, it was decided that a professional dryer would be very helpful for the increasing request of the service and an old dryer recently broke down. In addition, this dryer allows the drying of shirts with flocking without damage, which was previously not possible.
The association d’Liewen ass kee Kichelchen and the football club FC US Hueschtert also think that this equipment is very useful and accepted the request for a professional drier worth € 4000. Through good acquaintances with the company Miele, they also decided to participate in this donation. The donation took place before the last home match of FC US Hueschtert, on the 12th of May, in the presence of Jean Schiltz and Jeff Feidt from the organisation d’Liewen ass Kee Kichelchen and Jacques Wolter from the FC US Hueschtert. “This equipment will be very helpful and gives us the opportunity to work faster,” said Marc Balthasar from the Schweessdreps after warmly thanking all the participants for their commitment and helpfulness, on behalf of the entire association Stëmm vun der Strooss.
