Press release: Members of Club Senior Stroossen knit and crochet for Stëmm vun der Strooss

Because the weather is typically cold and wet in autumn, the Stëmm vun der Strooss always has a dire need of warm clothes and blankets. In response, the Stroossen Senior Club appealed to its members, as it does every year, to mobilise for a good cause. 10 diligent and hard-at-work ladies have been busy knitting, crocheting at home and collecting donations.

According to a representative of the Senior Club Stroossen, Mrs. Carmen Reuland: “This occupation is proof that good handicraft is valuable, and it can give joy and support to others.”

On Thursday 18 November, the team of the Kleederstuff in Hollerich accepted and received no less than 370 individual items from the Stroossen Senior Club. These included hats, scarves, blankets and more. Stëmm vun der Stroossen would like to thank all donors and knitters for their commitment and enthusiasm!
