Press release : The cycle 1 of the Kinneksbond Mamer school donates to the Stëmm

Kinneksbond Mamer Primary School, which includes pupils from Précoce to Cycle 4.2, invited the director of the Stëmm, Alexandra Oxacelay, to the Kinneksbond campus on Wednesday 19 April 2023. A group of 185 dedicated pupils of cycle 1, surrounded by their teachers, presented the Stëmm vun der Strooss with a generous cheque worth 3340 €.

The sum of 2340 € collected is the result of the famous tradition “Liichtmëssdag”, during which the children sang at the doors of their families, teachers and pupils of all cycles in favour of the disadvantaged people who are welcomed every day in the social restaurants of the association in Hollerich, Esch-sur-Alzette and Ettelbruck. The commune of Mamer contributed 1000 € to the donation in order to increase the donation to the sum of 3340 €.

This is not the first time that the Kinneksbond school has helped people in need, since according to Natalie Darné, one of the organizers of the action, “the teachers and pupils of the cycle 1 of Mamer have supported charity projects for almost 40 years due to this tradition “.

The Stëmm vun der Strooss would like to thank the commune, teachers and of course the pupils for their generous gesture.
