Press release : Veloocasiounsmart – another great success!

For the third year in a row, the Stëmm vun der Strooss has received generous support thanks to the Belle Etoile’s traditional Veloocasiounsmaart.
As in previous years, the Stëmm was invited, on the initiative of Manu Konsbruck, director of the Belle Etoile, to give a voluntary hand to the Veloocasiounsmart, in collaboration with the association Catch a Smile. In return, La Belle Etoile donated €5 to the two charities for each bike sold. In total, an impressive €7380 in donations was raised through the sale of 1476 bikes.
On the opening day of the Veloocasiounsmart, numerous volunteers were present in the underground car park of the Belle Etoile from 8 o’clock in the morning until the evening to receive the bicycles for sale. In addition to its own volunteers, the Stëmm was able to count on eight volunteers each from the companies Sodexo and Fidelity International, who all rolled up their sleeves to collect as much money as possible for disadvantaged people. Special thanks therefore go to both companies for their active support.
The official cheque presentation took place on Wednesday 19 April at the Belle Etoile. The director of the Stëmm, Alexandra Oxacelay, once again thanked Manu Konsbruck from the bottom of her heart for his trust over the years and is looking forward to participating again next year.
