Primafood supplied people in need with an Easter lunch

The grocery shop Primafood supplied Stëmm vun der Strooss with 70kg of chicken so that people in need could enjoy a delayed Easter lunch on Thursday 31 March. Stëmm vun der Strooss is an organisation that provides a wide range of services that help with the social and professional re-integration of people into Luxembourg society.
Established in 1998, the Primafood shop is situated in Bascharage and has 25 employees. Thanks to this donation from Primafood, 200 beneficiaries of Stëmm’s social restaurant located at 7 rue de la Fonderie in Hollerich had a special lunch. The social restaurant provides over 200 meals a day to those in need, including homeless people, those who are sick, those who have lost their jobs, young people out of education and in general people with little means.
John Daems, head of the food stuffs whole saler Primafood, initiated the idea. “We are very grateful for all the support we can get for our social restaurant as unfortunately the number of visitors to feed keeps rising,” says Alexandra Oxacelay, director of Stëmm vun der Strooss.
