Stëmm vun der Strooss – A generous gesture by the municipality of Schifflange on the occasion of the National Day.

Grand Duke Day 2021 was a symbol of solidarity within several municipalities in Luxembourg. To mark the occasion, the municipality of Schifflange handed over food parcels to the Stëmm vun der Strooss in Esch-sur-Alzette. In total, more than 500 bags containing two bottles of orange juice and biscuits were donated.

These parcels, 4000 in total, intended for the residents of the municipality, had not all been collected by the citizens. The municipality therefore decided to distribute the remaining 500 parcels to the needy. After contacting the Stëmm vun der Strooss, this charity drive was launched and it can be said that the beneficiaries of the association were very happy.

Due to the large amount of grocery bags, some of them were even sent to the Stëmm vun der Strooss location in Hollerich, where the customers were also happy about these generous gifts. Moreover, these are environmentally friendly bags that the beneficiaries of Stëmm can now use regularly for their packed lunches.

Stëmm vun der Strooss would like to congratulate the municipality of Schifflange for this charitable action. It is a nice gesture, especially on the occasion of the bank holidays and at a more difficult time than usual for the entire Luxembourg population. Indeed, to be able to count on such support means a lot for an association that is in need of donations for the most disadvantaged.
