Traditional excursion to the Schueberfouer for the Stëmm vun der Strooss

On Monday 6 August, the Stëmm vun der Strooss organised the annual trip to the Schueberfouer, this year Fun um Glacis, with about 50 beneficiaries of the association from the Hollerich and Esch-sur-Alzette sites. With summer temperatures, this day was a real success.
After arriving at the Glacis, the association invited its guests to enjoy the various funfair rides at the Fouer, which were financed thanks to the donations the association receives throughout the year. In a relaxed atmosphere, the beneficiaries of the association, accompanied by the educators and volunteers of the Stëmm, enjoyed the different attractions of the Fouer.
For the seventh year in a row, participants were also offered a free meal, generously served, as every year, by Jérôme Bigard of the Kessel restaurant. The menu included Wäinzoossiss with mashed potatoes and salad as well as a delicious veggie burger. The meal took place in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere.
As every year, this outing made it possible to offer a privileged moment to people in need and so they could forget for a moment the problems of everyday life. “This outing was a real pleasure for our beneficiaries, especially after a year when such events were not possible. We would like to thank Jérôme Bigard and the Kessel team for the perfect organisation and their friendliness during the meal, which was very much appreciated by all the guests,” explains Bob Ritz, Communications Officer of the Stëmm.
