Press release: Allen & Overy and What Water join forces to support the Stëmm

When three actors who are committed to the underprivileged meet, only good things can come out of it. As so often responsible for surprises in favour of the Stëmm vun der Strooss, this time the law firm Allen & Overy has donated 1000 bottles of water, previously acquired from the non-profit association What Water.
What Water’s mission is to improve access to clean drinking water for people in need all over the globe and more particularly in Central Africa. To raise public awareness of the water crisis, the association organises art events that bring together African and Luxembourgish artists to raise funds for their goal. Indeed, by 2030, eight million people should have access to water.
Justine Yansenne and Laurie Lougsami, both lawyers at Allen & Overy, as well as Gwen Tchoungui, President of What Water, and Louis Haas, Vice-President, visited the headquarters of the Stëmm vun der Strooss on Friday 30 September 2022 to hand over the 1000 water bottles to Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of the Stëmm. This meeting was a good opportunity to show the different partners the premises of the Stëmm.
The water bottles will be distributed in the three social restaurants of the Stëmm, in Esch-sur-Alzette, Hollerich and Ettelbruck, where a new restaurant will be opened in the coming weeks.
