Press release: Summer party at Saxo

On 14 July, a summer party was held at the “Saxo” centre of the Stëmm vun der Strooss, located at 24 rue de Hollerich, just a few minutes’ walk from the Stëmm headquarters.

The space, provided by the City of Luxembourg, has been open for five months and offers 16 people at a time the opportunity to rest, have a bite to eat, a coffee or spend time with each other in a quiet environment while playing board games. Free clothing is also provided to the beneficiaries at Saxo.

To coincide with the start of the summer holidays, the team led by social educators Alison Guillaume and Brice Schoumacher, organised a summer party where guests could enjoy refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails and fresh fruit while playing a game of table football to relaxing music.

According to Brice Schoumacher, around 40 people walk through the doors of Saxo every day and are more than grateful that this facility exists. “Yesterday we were 55 in total and the atmosphere was great. Such theme days bring the beneficiaries to other thoughts and are good for their morale”.
