Press release: Traditional excursion to the Schueberfouer for the Stëmm vun der Strooss

On Wednesday 25 August, the “Stëmm vun der Strooss” invited its beneficiaries, as it does every year, to discover the various pleasures of the Schueberfouer. This excursion is always eagerly awaited and it was therefore logical that the registration list was filled within a few days.

Accompanied by educators and volunteers of the Stëmm, the director Alexandra Oxacelay and the person in charge of the Stëmm site in Esch-sur-Alzette and of the future site in Ettelbruck, Francesco Settanni, 100 people arrived at the Glacis at about 1 pm. They headed for the various attractions, which the association was able to offer thanks to the donations collected throughout the year.

After a lot of fun in a very hot weather, it was time to get some strength at 3pm at Jérôme Bigard’s, owner of the restaurant Kessel. The association was lucky enough to be invited for the eighth time in a row. The participants of the excursion were treated to a delicious lunch. The menu included Wäinzoossiss with mashed potatoes and salad. The meal took place in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

As every year, this outing offered a special moment to people in need and they were able to forget for a moment the problems of everyday life. “This excursion was a real pleasure for our beneficiaries, they were able to spend an exceptional day”, says Francesco Settanni.
